Being a full-service remodeler can seem appealing when you begin your business. When a client calls you for work, it is difficult to turn them away if it is something you don’t specialize in. Narrowing your work can allow you to increase your revenue. Take these steps to streamline your business.

  • Choose your target customer.

Do you do better with a certain type of professional? Are professional families your most successful projects? Think about the areas you do business in. Does one city seem to bring you more success? Narrow these things down then decide what you can do better than your competition.

  • Tackle your prospects’ concerns.

Provide your customers with testimonials and stories of how you’ve dealt with their renovation concerns.

  • Refine and define your message.

Once you’ve determined what you want your business to focus on, craft a message that projects that to your prospective customer.

Clearly defining who and what your business is, you can target the customers that provide you with the most successful projects.
