We have run a pilot program and tested out several [financing] products in two states. We initially thought of this approach as a way to reduce cancellations due to customers running short of funds (the number one reason for cancellations). What we found was that the offering of financing during the initial sales call immediately increased on-the-spot bookings. Almost every customer who used financing said to us that they chose us because we offered financing and our competitors did not. Local VPs and managers love the program and are excited about its impact. We are now in the process of rolling out to all 35 states within which we operate.
My favorite feature of the Foundation Finance Company program is clearly the helpful and supportive approach of the staff at Foundation’s head office and by our local rep. They are very responsive and helpful with anything we ask of them. They are also very understanding of our customers’ needs, to the extent that we reflexively refer to Foundation as our “financing partner.” They are superior to anyone else we have dealt with. After the quality of their support, the ease of using the system would be a favorite feature.
