This year, we are celebrating 14 years of Foundation Finance!
How It Started
In 2012, four friends gathered around a kitchen table. The goal: to create a simpler, more user-friendly financing program. We considered several different names for this new venture before landing on Foundation Finance.
We launched our company in February of 2012 and funded our first projects that May. Since then, we have built and moved into our corporate headquarters in Rothschild, WI, expanded our team into the hundreds and approved financing for over 892,000 projects across the country.
Finding Our Niche
In the early years, Foundation Finance tested the waters in a variety of markets including furniture, jewelry and vacuums. However, we quickly found our passion for working with the home improvement industry. Today we cover a wide range of contractor-provided projects, such as HVAC, roofing, siding, solar, turf, water treatment systems, windows and more.
Growing with Our Partners
Technology’s role in sales has changed dramatically since 2012. Our first customer applications were taken over the phone and input into our internal software. Dealers were alerted to their customers’ financing decisions by letters in the mail, fax and/or email. Today, our paperless financing process is run through the LaunchPAD dealer portal. Dealers can prequalify their customers for financing online, generate forms online, sign via DocuSign and keep track of all their apps at a glance with our color-coded app tracking.
Beyond our easy, online application process, we also have time-saving tools that make it easy to close sales with financing.
What the Future Holds
In an ever-changing world, we will continue working towards our goal of creating a simpler, more user-friendly financing program. As the needs of our partners change, we aim to provide tools and processes that make it easy to offer customers monthly payment options and make home improvement projects more affordable. We look forward to continuing this journey with you!
